Lodged in London operating now?

Brethren,

Do lodges in London go “dark” or do they operate though the year?

I ask as I will be in London on Friday morning and am looking to visit a Lodge that meets that evening... is it worth going in to GQS or should I wait till the fall?

Thank you very much!

Most Lodges do have a summer break but a visit to GQS is worthwhile to visit the museum and no doubt there are a few Lodges with meetings there so enquire.
Have a good visit in London.

On the wall inside the entrance foyer at GQS you will see a board that shows what lodges are meeting there that day. Ask at the desk what time some of them start the meeting. Turn up half an hour earlier with your kit and papers, see the lodge secretary and see if he can fit you in. You may or may not be able to dine with them, as numbers are pre booked but there might be a cancellation.

Good luck!

Yes we break for summer at GQS but lodges do carry on. As Trouillogan says, just turn up and look at board in foyer or ask at desk. Might be worth a call in advance.
