Good evening, Brethren!

First of all, thank you very much for allowing me to join this discussion forum, which seems like a great place to converse with Brother Masons across the UK and further enjoy the Fraternal aspect of our Order. Hence my sincere desire to join.

Secondly, please allow me to spend a couple of minutes introducing myself. I am a 40-year old Master Mason from Livingston, Scotland whose Mother Lodge is Lodge St. John Mid Calder No. 272, under the Province of Linlithgowshire. I had for many years wanted to be Initiated into Freemasonry as the ideals, philosophies and principles of the Craft greatly appealed to me: the idea of being the best man you can be, being honourable, trustworthy and someone who cares about one's neighbour as well and not only oneself. In addition to that, the symbolism, the allegories and the Fraternal nature of our Order--as well as its long, rich and fascinating history--have also always greatly attracted me! So it was genuinely a dream come true when I was Initiated into the Craft and I was very enthusiastic about getting as deeply into it as I could from the very get-go! So when I was asked about whether or not I might be interested in becoming an Office Bearer, I jumped at the opportunity right away! When I was asked if I wanted to take part in Degree Rituals, I dove right in! I have loved every single minute of the relatively few years I have been a Freemason and I sincerely miss Meetings at my Mother Lodge as well as going on Visitations.

Presently I am only involved in Craft/Blue Lodge Masonry, and while I find this more than sufficient as far as Freemasonry itself goes, there are still various other fascinating Appendant Bodies in which I have further interest, such as the Royal Arch, the Knights Templar... but particularly the Societas Rosicruciana in Scotia due to my passion for the Occult/Esoteric Sciences and the Tradition of Rosicrucianism. I therefore contacted the SRIS back in 2020 about my interest in the Order, but doubtlessly due to the current situation with the pandemic I have yet to hear from the College with which I was supposed to be put in touch. I hope I will hear from them eventually, however, once this COVID-19 business starts to "even itself out", for lack of a better way of putting it, and we can return to our Freemasonry and/or whatever other Orders with which we may be involved.

That was it from me, Brethren. Thank you again for allowing me to be a part of this forum of yours. I am looking very much forward to conversing and virtually socialising with all of you.

Fraternally yours,

Lenny Pedersen
