Do you think no one is interested if a Lodge has ceased. I dont understand why it is important.

It's important for 2 reasons; one is that there ARE people who bid for and buy these with a view to returning them to the lodge - and they need to know if the lodge still exists. The second reason is that it's sad to see so many jewels from erased lodges - if it was mine, I'd want to hang on to it or pass it to the Province for displaying in their museum; it's a part of the Province history that sadly no longer exists and may pass into oblivion without any permanent record.

I am confused Bro. Richard becuase there may be many reasons why someone would buy a Jewel, as you say to return it to the Lodge or person or to send it to Province most have a museum. Some are just collectors.

It just seems like "its a waste of time putting that here because the Lodge has gone."

Sometimes people are just interested. Any buyer of any item has to do their own due dilligence. I started looking because I just had some made for a Lodge. I just had some Centenary Jewels made for my Mother Lodge and you research the project. I was amazed at how many items arrive in auction houses. Like ebay etc.

Now this is a bit unusual, looks like a militry Lodge
2 Masonic badges, one in gold , which seems to be the past Master Jewel the other is a standard companion jewel.
In you want to bid then best to check which is the gold one.
