Hello all.

Postby Nathan » Thu Nov 30, 2017 2:29 pm

Good afternoon Brothers,

Im new to Freemasonry, I've recently done my first having been invited to join by a friend who has been in the craft for many years. For me, learning is a lifelong effort so the opportunity to become a Mason is one i'm very grateful to accept. I've joined a lodge in Central London(Royal Arthur 1360) as i work in St James's, I live in Guildford, Surrey. I look forward to some entertaining (and hopefully enlightening) discourse and hope to meet some of you in person.

Hi Nathan and welcome aboard.

Working in St James's gives you some prime visiting opportunities as you are close to Mark Masons' Hall in St James.

Lol, I guessed! I've just been looking through your Lodge website, certainly among the best I've seen. I particularly enjoyed the paper on the Forget me not symbolism.

Thank you that's kind, sadly that paper has been waiting for me to finish for more than a decade as I have to cover the Communist suppression in Eastern Europe after WWII and also the Anglican Church's efforts to hurt Freemasonry. One day I'll get around to it.

I look forward to it. I was aware that Freemasonry was outlawed by the Nazis but didn't know the persecution was as widespread and brutal as it was. The Churches opposition to Freemasonry is also something id like to read more on.
