That really is not very good at all, my apologies that you have been left hanging

Did you make initial contact via the Province or was it direct to a lodge?

I made contact via the province, I talked to the "Provincial Grand Assistant Secretary".

Sorry Donald - not the way things should be handled at all, if you drop me a personal message via the message system with your email address and number I will see if we can find out what happened and attempt to get someone to contact you.
That is if you are still interested and haven't been put off

Donald, thanks for your patience

Investigations have led me to discover that there was a change in personnel in the Provincial G Sec office in question, these took place over the summer and you appear to have been unwittingly misplaced...

Please do make contact with the office again, I have also passed on your details but it would definitely be worth you contacting them again as with two nudges you are less likely to fall in a gap!

Again, apologies that this has happened to you, even with the best will in the world unfortunate errors in communication like this do happen

I live round the corner from the Masonic hall, is it worth popping round when it's open and seeing if anyone will have a chat?

Definitely! - Depending on the hall, there may be someone there during the day, but it's more likely that you'll need to grab someone and make arrangements to get togther at a mutually convenient time and it's more likely that the hall will only be open when there's a meeting.

by all means try popping in, if nothing else you may be able to speak to someone at a lodge who would be willing to assist

Update, I popped in and talked to a very friendly guy, he answered a few of my questions, recommended I come to a few social events at the centre and said he'd have a talk with some people about me. So things are looking up, although he did say it was unlikely to get in this season
