A History of Lodge The Kings Park No 1386

Postby Harmony » Sat Apr 06, 2013 7:33 am

I've just got my book back from the publishers, and it has turned out as well as I could have expected. I'm really pleased with how it looks.

Just have to sell the blinking thing now.

Hi Harmony,

Seeing as I've got the Anniversary Jewel and was in the company of messers Tremble and Forster over the weekend I'd better take one!

I will however stay away from the tie, lol

PM me the cost and details where to send the cheque etc.
Regards
Bob

Popped it in the post today, but just realised I hadn't included the affiliation form...

It was once a dream of mine to leave 'the sticks' and join the brethren further up north near the big city of Glasgow.

Unfortunately on my travels I was diverted, some say by an angel (10), at Abington, and have made my sojourn on a yearly basis to that mecca of enlightenment which is Sir Robert Moray No 1641.

We may all be aware of the King Darius, and his question, on which is stronger 'Wine, Women, or The King?
So as much as I would love to join you all in East Renfrewshire, I'm sure you can guess which is the strongest in my household (19)

Looking forward to the book (7)

Bob

Hi Harmony,
Received the book yesterday, many thanks.

An excellent looking publication with some dodgy looking characters included, (7)

Good stuff - I hope it arrived undamaged. Any problems with it and I'll replace it.

I won't promise that it is a good read, but it felt like it was a fair chunk of my life to write it. I'm jut glad it looks vaguely professional.

Hi Harmony,
Sorry for not replying sooner.

The book is a great read. I always reckoned that the real scottish masonic history is to be found in individual lodge records and this book goes along way to support that.
Worth every penny. Congratulations is due to yourself for the dedication that you put into the book.

Now I've got the book and the anniversary jewel, are there still some of those colourful ties left, lol.

I'm sure we can sort a tie out next time you are up...

I've got the bug now, and fancy doing another Lodge History. Don't know which one yet, but I agree with your point about it being the real history of Masonry in Scotland. It's all there, but so little is usually known by the Brethren, and what is known is often just wrong.
