Oh I get that - I just didn't want someone buying it with a view to returning it to the lodge.

There are some Guys who do the repatriation scheme.
That seems to work well. Just thought this might halp a little and your right we still have to check things. The real issue is if there are several masons bidding only the seller gets the best of things. If we can just let the Lodges know they can have a look and see if they are interested. Then if we all know we wont aid the increase on the selling price. The seller has every right toget the best deal of course.

This is a Royal Arch jewel from New Monklands R A Chapter No 201 from Airdrie. As the post above is a Past Master jewel from The Operative Lodge of Airdrie no 203, I would presume these came from the same source probably the Brother concerned was a PM and a PZ. The inscription on the jewel reads " Presented to Comp. George Greive PZ as a mark of esteem. 4th Dec 1913." There is no inscription on the PM jewel.

Well done Peter, I do some stuff on a tablet and its not so good on definition of photos. Plus my eyes are getting older each day.
My hope is someone will know the Lodge or Chapter and pass the info on.

Here is a small bundle of bits but has a Past Masters Jewel, I think it is The Onward Lodge (6528). But not absolutely clear on the photo. It ties in with Lanes

Yes but fairly recently June 2018 it was reported.

Do you think no one is interested if a Lodge has ceased. I dont understand why it is important.

Maybe its me. But when I die I hope someone remembers

You can see here Oct 2015

I wear one of those from a collarette under rule 253(f) - on 'bling' occasions only though! I'm often asked what it is as they cannot nowadays be awarded.
