I see there's a Hall Stone Jewel - now I know that the lodges' version actually belongs to GL, but does that also apply to individuals' version? - and if yes, that would make it illegal to sell on.

Yes, Richard you are correct about the collarette jewel belonging to UGLE but the individual breast jewel belongs to the brother who qualified for it. That is/was his personal property and it's quite in order for it to be disposed of. See the section 'Hall Stone Jewels' in the UGLE booklet Information for the Guidance of Members of the Craft for the complete details.

Fair enough - I don't have the booklet to hand, hence the question/observation.

Interesting! - not UGLE as L4478 is Werneth (Cheshire)

It is UGLE.
4478 amalgamated with Romley Lodge 4976 (Cheshire) and Glenwood Lodge 6573 (Cheshire) in September 2009. At the same time 4478 revised its name from Hyde Lodge to Werneth Lodge.
