Hello to all,
as far is my concern, Freemasonry is a practical way to live our own philosophy.
we are always look to the philosophy like a argument of study in the schools, some kind of historical event related to greeks or romans , well its some think more close to as that we can think of.

Most of us still do not understand how freemasonry is a important key, to understand ourself and training us for this long journey inside our selfs.
The rituals , the TBs and the dramatizations on the rites are all patterns that a Selected man chose to follow.

Hi Tiziano

Welcome to LRUK!

I agree that many Freemason's are not using the gift of Freemasonry to their advantage.

Make sure you introduce yourself to the group, when you have a minute.

Your philosophical approach is much more common on the European continent than it is in England. My own personal theory is that it's to do with the difference in attitude between the Anglo-Saxon and the Latins!

The way I see it, philosophy tends to become an academic, theoretical thing. Something to chat and debate about. Whereas Freemasonry encourages us to be practical, to implement good philosophy in our lives. And share our experiences.

Hi,
most people think that freemasonry is the proper way to made the philosophy (theoretical) Real.
and i far i know its true.
We can talk about Music even if u never learn how to play or We can talk about painting or lectures even if u never write o painted any thing but its impossible to talk about philosophy
if u don't practice it and the best way for me is in the Freemasonry for this reason we refer to Freemasonry as Order .

As I understand it the word philosophy is used to mean two different things.

Sometime the word philosophy is used to mean a personal belief or opinion. For example; a person may talk about their personal philosophy. Or someone might talk about the philosophy of Kant or Socrates. When the word is used this way it is a noun which describes a certain viewpoint.

The other way to talk about philosophy is to view it as a discussion which is used to discover the best way to think about, or understand, things.
