The one point I do not agree with is salutations especially to Provincial Grand Officers.

In my Lodge there are sometimes only 2 non Provincial Grand Officers, the SW and myself the DC.

Having said that I will not call for Salutations in that instance I have several times meet with strong condemnation from PGO who have demanded I show them respect by giving them the Salutations they are "entitled to".

In South Wales Province (Craft), Provincial Officers, or even Grand Officers, don't get salutations. The only brethren that do are the PGM, Deputy PGM, Assistant PGMs and Past Holders of those ranks.

In Cambridgeshire, GOs are never saluted in their own lodge unless there is a visitor present who is also a GO. The only ProvGOs saluted are the Deputy and the Wardens (we don't have an Assistant GM); no other Provincial Officers are saluted.

"Salutations" don't exist up here. A visiting GMM or PGM, or their deputes, are welcomed into the Lodge simply on the sign of the degree.
