Address to the Stewards

Postby scoops » Thu Jun 08, 2017 11:33 am

Greetings Brethren

I'm hoping someone on here might be able to help.

My Father-in-Law is searching for a particular Address to the Stewards. He heard it many years ago in West Lancs but the only bit he could properly remember went something like "your place is here, there and everywhere".

Has anyone else come across such an address and would you be able to share it with me or point me in the direction of a source?

Thank you very much
Richard Cooper

This is from our Installation Ceremony:

I invest you with the jewel of your Office and symbolically invest the Stewards of the Lodge. The Jewel is the Cornucopia and Cup and is symbolical of peace and plenty. Your duties are of extreme importance to the success of our gatherings, but the keynote of your work is Service before Self. If in our hours of refreshment you can discharge your duties with cheerfulness, as I know full well hat you will do, then you will surely earn the gratitude and thanks of the Brethren.
Regards, Peter

I would add to Peter Taylors address, the final words: and your primary duty above all, is to to keep my glass filled! I have used this.
