Off to UGLE today

Postby JohnXRV » Sat Apr 22, 2017 9:32 am

Going down to London to support the wife running the marathon tomorrow and whilst she goes off with her running mates to register this afternoon I will be visiting UGLE for the 2pm tour and enjoying a few ales in the Freemason's Arms

Happy day

Hope you enjoyed your visit to the big house - hope your wife had a good run!

Thank you Mr Benn

Yes I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and feel very proud to have joined this amazing fraternity.

And my wife was happy with her time so it was a good weekend all round

I was at FMH Saturday too. Missed the tours though but had a look around the museum & library though. Great building, just a shame I didn't get to see the temples. Next time

I took the tour around 10 years ago when I had a few hours to kill between meetings in central London.

What a magnificent experience & one which I would encourage any Brother who hasn't already done so, to make a point of doing, should circumstance permit.

The building is beautiful, the museum fascinating & the Grand Temple simply a joy to behold.

Incidentally, I discovered years later that the Freemason's Arms pub across the road is owned by a friend of a friend.

A great area of London.
