HM Armed Forces. Serving and Ex

Postby Sebastian » Sat Jan 24, 2015 11:29 pm

Brethren may be interested to know that there is a lively and growing Facebook page entitled 'British Military Freemasons', open to anyone who has served or is currently serving. It is quite new, but already has over 200 members. They even have their own badge, cufflinks and tie slide!

It cannot be found on a search and is fully tyled. Access is granted by contacting the chief administrator ("Axel Trenchardax Foley")who asks a few questions, then the person is added. I have found this site really useful.

As an ex serviceman myself I was pleased to learn of a new lodge potentially opening for ex miltary personnel in Haddington, East Lothian (Scotland) I think this is a great idea

Alistair, keep me posted on this one, although I'm serving down south, my mother lodge is no 10, so not far away.

I just had a look on Facebook, does "Axel" look at his "Other Folder" that you know of? I was going to send a message to him but it said the message would go to his other folder.... whatever that is!!!

It's one of those 'secret' groups and not available to view unless you're a member.

The administrator is Axel Trenchartax Foley. Send him a message, then befriend him and he will ask you a testing question and hopefully allow you to enter.

This group sounds right up my street I will try and join it. Alistair have you any info on the new lodge you speak of. This is something I'd be really interested in being a part of. I do most of my visiting in east Lothian and berwickshire and never heard a whisper of this.

Hi Hussar no news at the moment. I am putting the feelers out, it was only mentioned to me at the Legion club in Prestonpans last November after the parade. They were asking for permission to set it up, maybe the hold up is the red tape

I think it's actually a military degree getting done in August and not a new lodge getting set up

Thanks Ecky. I might see if I can get to that one. I'm sure he definitely said he's trying to set one up but I'm waiting on him getting back to me
