Scam warning

Postby admin » Fri Oct 04, 2013 5:48 pm

Just want to issue a warning about a very clever scam.

People I know just been scammed out of £ 10,000 [ I think they will get the money back eventually. ]

Received a letter / email invoice for a Van.

Few minutes later another email saying sorry we sent the wrong bank details here are the correct bank details for the money transfer.

Money sent but the Van seller knows nothing about this.

So some how these people are tracking email traffic and auto sending this follow up email. It seems they are seaching for any word in the subject saying - Bank - Transfer - Account - that sort of thing.

Nothing anyone can do just be aware - this is clever.
