For anyone that missed this it is a good grounding for a Masonic researcher to have a look at.

The documentary is made in an excellent manner and gives a feel for the emergence of the Country we now call England.

There is a lot about Athelstan and many attribute some of the early Masonic references to him.

The RGLE [not recognised by UGLR] akes it base from King Athelstan 926 there was also the Grand Lodge of all England that laid a similar claim.
There is much disagreement about the facts , you will have to take a look for yourself.
