Another Newbie

Postby Kildrummy316 » Tue Jan 12, 2016 7:14 pm

Hello from Kilwinning.

I have been browsing this forum for some time but it was only last week I became a freemason.
I was initiated as an EA last Friday at Dumbarton Kilwinning No18. Although I Live in Kilwinning Ayrshire, not far from Lodge 0, I joined the Dumbarton lodge because I have a couple of good friends there who were good enough to propose and second my application.

It was a very enjoyable evening and I met a lot of very friendly and helpful people who helped make my Initiation very special for me. I am now looking forward to learning more about Freemasonry and its history.

Kind Regards

Jim

Thank you all for the warm welcome.
It is really kind of you to take the time to send a few words.
I experienced the same on Friday at my first lodge night. Everyone was very helpful and encouraging.
My only regret is having left it so long before taking my first steps into Freemasonry.

Time for a wee update, It has been an exciting time since my first post back in January and have thoroughly enjoyed my journey so far.
Tonight at 7.30pm I will be back in my favourite place to be raised to MM.
Since my 1st in January it seemed no time at all till I was back for my 2nd on 5th Feb.
I have attended every meeting have had the pleasure of being able to witness the next two candidates coming through.
I have also attended all the instruction classes each week and have enjoyed every minute of the process.
I would also like to thank everyone at that gave their time and help to make me feel welcome and mentor me to make sure that I was prepared and ready for each stage.

So wish me well for tonight and I will be sure to raise a glass to all my Brothers at DKL18 as well as my on line Brothers here on this forum.
