Maybees in Yorkie
it was ecky want to , when I couldn't get online
now ive been demoted to newbie
or is that a committee decision?

merry Christmas Eric
PS I was talking to some Durham companions at a meeting last week
who also are unhappy , as they say others in their area are , about the self named premier GL celebrating a none event from 1717 which resulted in claims made without permission of York, which had for centuries before acted in an executive position
just like Kilwinning in Scotland
Cant wait for my invitation!

Very interesting about York - read Neville Cryer's York Mysteries Revealed for the fascinating low down. It would appear that in the York system, outlying Lodges were regarded as part of the Grand Lodge and not as separate entities as happened later with the London upstart. As to 1717 and all that; as the first minute book starts in 1723, that would be its foundation date. You just try getting a centenary or bi-centenary without that confirmation!

That would be fine Trouillogan
IF it had not been used a hundred years after for political and religious reason to establish a new Premier" GL
Lets acknowledge the piss up as such and not accept the fait accompli
Your comment concerns me I'm afraid, as Ive been castigated for telling the truth here
and even called a troll for continuing to do so, and now you admit its wrong but lets party anyway?

Merry Christmas everyone
