Fraternal Greetings from Germany

Postby Loewenstein » Mon Apr 06, 2015 2:37 pm

My name is Reinhard, I am a brother from Germany - I joined here already in 2008, but made only few visits. But since the NOS Forum was closed (which I guess was already some years ago) in spite of my poor English I sometimes miss the English Masonic discussion and will try (without any promises) to be more often here.
I am a brother MM from the Frankfurt/Wiesbaden area of Germany (but sometimes also in the Bochum/ Essen /Ruhr area).
My profession is an academic Semiticist and Hebraist, specializing in Ancient Hebrew, Ancient Aramaic, and Phoenician of the 1st millennium bce.
General disclaimer: Whenever you do not understand what I mean, or feel something offending in what I wrote, please first keep in mind that English is not my mother tongue and maybe I have expressed myself wrong or did not choose the correct words.

Hallo Reinhard,

Mir freundlichen Gruss

Jings hivvensanhelpmaboab
aw yon languages !

Bro you sound as if you have a lot to give to our craft and this site !
I look forward to your opinions and historical knowledge and hope you will share it with us all.

I say that because I have a friend, a French brother who spent 20 years working in nthe Vaticans secret libraries
and has similar knowledge of ancient languages and style of writing etc.
And when he declined to reply , when possible answers about masonic history , may have conflicted with his RC beliefs
I warned him that ( as I am a now retired Police officer) his silence spoke volumes.
He has now semi retired to a parish in Normandy and doesnt attend his motherv lodge

So dont be shy lets hear your banter!
